Bally's Total Fitness is Evil

Pretty much the same story here. I joined in march of 2008. In August of the same year, I had surgery and could not go to the gym. I missed two payments. I made a double payment in November. I received a notice that my account was behind and I would be reported to a collection agency. I made another payment in December. I called Ballys to see If I was up to date. They told me I was 90 days past due. I told them I had all payment records and I was not 90 days past due.. (You might as well fight city hall.) In January, I paid off my entire balance on my membership. (I'm getting affairs in order for my first home purchase). My lender called me and asked why I don't pay my Ballys bill? and If it was a mistake on my report. I just about blew a gasket! Those Fu&%rs reported to all 3 bureau's--  that I had not made a payment in over 3 months. I expained to my lender that I did infact make my payments and said I became 2 months behind which I had taken care of with Bally's and furthermore I had paid off the account.  Let me tell you.. Bally's not only ruined my credit, It lowered my score 60 points and I had to kiss my dream of owning my own home goodbye.

I called Bally's today and asked if they would kindly remove the negative reporting for the simple fact that I had paid off my membership early and in full and also because I needed to get a mortgage. I was told No. The CSR (I think her name was Shenaynay, Scheneeka or Velveeta) was rude and told me to read my contract. They do not forgive late payments. My lendor told me that they do have the ability to remove negative information from your credit.

I have Health club benefits through work, which is how I got involved with this rotten company. I have contacted our benefits department and told them please do not endorse or recommend Ballys to anyone.

 Our local club is filthy, most of the equipment is broken.  I was told shortly after joining that a group of guys were meeting in the steam room to hook up.. I'm not sure what that entails, but I never ever went into the locker room after hearing that.

I see Bally's is facing bankruptcy again? whats up with that? I hope they get whats comin to them.

They screwed me, and now, I will make it a priority to discredit them whenever and however I can.
